Ozark

 

The city of Ozark established 1848, offers all the amenities of modern life in the midst of an idyllic setting along the banks of the Finley River in the hills of SW Missouri. The original City Square, complete with brick sidewalks and buildings dating back to the mid-1800s is the heart of the community. A few blocks and you are on a bridge overlooking the Finley River as it winds its way through parkland and city. Ozark is a thriving community. Its location just a few miles south of Springfield puts it within twenty-five minutes of Branson and the Table Rock /Taneycomo Lakes region. Ozark is the county seat of Christian County. The population in 2016 was reported as 19,229.

Ozark is part of the Springfield Missouri Metro Area, located immediately south of the city of Springfield where Highway 65 and Missouri Route 14 intersect. The school district is ranked A+. With a record growth in population over the past decade the community has kept pace with upgrades in retail and services. The city was recently nominated as the best place to go antiquing in SW Missouri by Rural Magazine. Ozark enjoys a small town feel with all the amenities of being in a metropolitan area.
